![]() If your kids love Marvel (and let’s be honest, who doesn’t!) there’s no doubt that they’ll be pestering you for a Marvel/Avengers themed party for their next birthday. According to party planning experts Twizzle, Marvel themed parties are one of their most requested themes, and with Captain America: Civil War just around the corner, there’s never been a better time to throw your little ones a superhero bash that they’ll never forget! The internet is awash with creative and fun party ideas so we’ve scoured the blogs and rounded up five of our favourites. Iron Man biscuits There are a host of great superhero food ideas out there, but one of the most impressive ideas that we’ve seen are these great biscuits in the shape of Iron Man’s hands! Fortunately, they’re not quite as difficult to make as they look, as you simply need to use food colouring to create red and black dough and cut them into shapes. (If you can’t find a hand shaped cutter, why not create a template by drawing around your little one’s hand?) Layered superhero drinks With all those little superheroes running around wearing themselves you’re going to need plenty of drinks to keep everyone hydrated. We particularly loved these layered superhero drinks from The Cards We Drew, in the colours of Captain America and Iron Man. They may look like you’ll need a professional bartender to concoct them, but they’re actually very simple, and as long as one drink is more heavily sugared than the other (the post recommends 10g difference) then one drink should sit on top of the other and create a really cool effect. They recommend using something like cranberry juice for the red base, and a blue or yellow sports drink for the top layer. Invites If you want to get creative with your invitations, why not create a personalized comic book or newspaper invitation such as these we found on Catch My Party? They’re a great way to put your little superhero right in the thick of the action and make them feel like a true superhero. And make sure that your invites encourage everybody to dress up as their favourite Marvel superheroes! Superhero masks Obviously it’s best if all of your guests can come in their own great costumes to give you a range of mini-superheroes running around your party. Having said this, you don’t want anybody who turns up without a costume to be left out, so why not create some superhero mask? Perfect if you like to get a bit crafty for your birthday parties, you can also get the kids involved in making some cute little masks. There are also mask ideas for adults and girls! Superhero shield Nowadays capes are out, and the number one superhero accessory is the shield, as sported by Captain America. So why not make your own superhero shield either before the party or as a fun arts and crafts activity? These are great either as an accompaniment to your costumes and superhero masks, or just as a decoration for your superhero headquarters.
